More Student Testimonials

This was an amazing experience to go to another country to study the huge differences between P.E. and Health compared to the United States. Where else can you hold a koala, pet a kangaroo, surf, and study for school? It was the best experience I have ever had!

— Lynn Mielke,
Physical education USOAR project in Australia

We feel that we were able to give these students and extra-curricular learning experience that enabled them to create new friends, new technical and cultural knowledge, and new interest and encouragement in the arts. As teachers, we gained skills we will use as future school and community art educators.

— Jessica Black & Michelle Garrison,
Art education for students grades 4-8, East Moline.

This experience has also reaffirmed my goals of conducting research internationally. Previous to this opportunity, I had reservations about traveling abroad. After spending time in Cambodia, I realized that I can be away from home; I truly loved every minute of the adventure. This experience was truly amazing and I am incredibly grateful for having the opportunity.

— Shay Galto,
Study of Genocide in Cambodia

The project taught the team not only about things like design and fabrication, but also about project management and team dynamics.

— Josh Malmassari,
Engineering team leader for USOAR funded Basic Utility Vehicle project, which won BUV competition in Indianapolis

Other team members were: Daniel Donovan, Doug Meenan, and John White.
